Coming soon: first subscriber bonus!

I am working on this site’s first subscriber bonus, which should be finished this week. It’s going to be a complete guide to setting up your own website with WordPress and will include all the steps from getting your own domain name to customizing your WordPress installation.

Many of the ebooks on Amazon with this information sell in the $8-10 range, but this guide will be absolutely FREE! All you have to do is enter your email address into the “Subscribe” widget, and you’ll be the first to get it when it comes out!

Also, if there’s a particular topic you’d like to see covered in this guide or you have suggestions for future material, let me know in the comments! After all, this guide is for you, not me.

Coffee Notepad is now on Instagram!

Since design is primarily a visual medium, I thought Instagram might be a fun place to share inspiration, both of the design and the personal variety. Here’s my first post:

If you’re on Instagram, come by and say hi! Design is everywhere, after all. 🙂

Welcome!

Welcome to the launch of Coffee Notepad! Thanks for visiting. You can find more information about me on the About page.

Since I’m trying to learn more about web design and development, what better way to do it than by building websites? And what better place to start than by building my own website?

Of course, I’m getting a lot of help from WordPress at this stage, but I’d like to build my skills to the point where I can create an attractive, functional site from scratch. In any case, I’ll post links to my projects as I create them.

What are some of your favorite tips and tricks for web design and development? Let me know in the comments!
